Chip and Shari Lain gave a wonderful slideshow presentation of their trip to the land down under, Australia. Chip worked the projector while Shari gave slide by slide narration of the month long adventure with fellow turf growers in Australia. It was quite informative and exciting, great job!

Every year for the past seven years, the Kiwanis Club of Minisink Valley has gone into the two elementary schools in the Minisink Valley School District to give every third grade student a personal dictionary.
The past two year Kiwanians have been in the individual class rooms handing out the dictionary and giving the class a quick lesson on how to use a dictionary along with a short history lesson on Noah Webster. It took Noah 22 years to collect over 700,000 words and their meanings to finish his dictionary.

Over 1,200 people braved the cold and snowy weather to attend the Kiwanis club of Minisink Valley Annual Pancake Day. The hungry customers were served delicious "secret recipe" pancakes with local maple syrup, homemade applesauce, eggs and our world famous sausage.
The proceeds from the day will help support our scholarship fund. This year we will present 19 Minisink graduates with a check for $1,000.
This year's Pancake Day was dedicated to the memory of Milton Arthur Lain, a Minisink Kiwanis member who past away last October. Art was the ticket king, consistently selling the most tickets to this event each year.

Soup On Saturdays - A Minisink Kiwanis sponsored project, collects soup from a number of areas in our community and distributes them to local families and food pantries. This photo shows about 500 cans of soup and 15 cases of Ramon Noodles that was collected by the Minisink Valley Central School and the Greenville Senior Leisure Club.
